My dearest Mazvita. You finished your race with grace. You are now dancing with angels. Until we meet again.

    My Well-Beloved Family and Friends,

Thank you for joining us today in this service of remembrance and support as we honour the life of our dearly-beloved, Mainini Mazvita. In this moment of sorrow, we stand together, drawing strength from our Father, The Lord Jesus Christ, our source of comfort and peace.

The Word of God reminds us in Psalm 34:18: “The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart, and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.” Though our hearts are heavy, we take solace in knowing that Jesus, is not only near to us but He is in us, the Holy Spirit, walking us through this valley of sorrow.

As we remember our beloved Mainini Mazvita, let us make our election sure that when our time comes to depart from this world which is indeed not our home, we will either sleep in Jesus Christ or be caught up in the air to meet Him, through the Rapture. We are so comforted by the promise found in John 14:1-3, where Jesus speaks to His disciples, saying:
“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”

In times like these, we may ask why Lord? but we trust in the divine wisdom of Ecclesiastes 3:1-4, which teaches us that:
“To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance.”

Even as we mourn, we celebrate the life that she lived, the love she gave, and the memories she left behind. We who remain let us make sure we live for, by & in Christ Jesus, as we are reminded in 2 Timothy 4:7-8 of the reward that awaits those who have run their race in faith, in Christ Jesus:
“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.”

As we cherish the time we shared with Mainini Mazvita, let us hold on to the legacy of kindness and love that she has left behind. May we find comfort in the words of Romans 8:38-39:
“For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Let us strengthen one another with God’s pure love, uplift each other in prayer, and trust in the Lord’s abundant grace.

May the Lord bless you and keep you, may His face shine upon you, and may He give you peace not of this world, but His peace which passeth ALL human understanding.

With much love, thanksgiving and prayers,
