Since condolence to the family , friends and ex colleagues
May your dear soul rest in eternal peace. My” senior Sister”@ Harare Central Hospital Theatre during my training as a student nurse Jan1975-Jan1978.
I was still “a septic junior nurse”, and she didn’t want “daft” nurses.
Vaida vanhu vanoziva zvavanoita!
She would say “you Harare Hospital nurses are daft, ndikarwara ndinonorapwa ku Mpilo Hospital ( that was pre our Independence before the era of Parirenyatwa Hospital & The Avenues Clinic.)
She inspired me to excel in my Nursing career.
As a result I became a critical care nurse, specializing in Intensive Care, Coronary Care, Haemodialysis, High Dependancy , Accident & Emergency Nursing. Nursed for 46 years.
On 26th February,2025.Sincere condolences to the Chiweshe family, friends and the Nursing Fraternity at large.
Matron Chiweshe Is remembered as a strict no nonsense theatre nurse who mentored hundreds of nurses, me included, during the generic programmes especially theatre, intensive care and anaesthetic courses. She leaves a legacy of dedication and thoroughness MHSRIEP
