My dear cousin, Stephi…
I’ve always regarded you as the “matriarch” of us “Ingram” cousins…the boss of us all! And although we didn’t all grow up together, we’ve shared so many family holidays and special occasions together over the decades….travelling to Nyanga, Mutare, Kariba as well as Australia and the UK.
And we’ve celebrated so many birthdays, weddings and Christmases together, and commiserated over the deaths of beloved family. It meant so much when you commended me on the words I spoke at Gran’s funeral and at my dad’s memorial. And now I can’t believe I’m expressing these words for you.
You’ve left such a big void in our lives
I will always remember you for your grace and elegance, your calm and relaxed manner which put everyone at ease, and your impeccable taste. And I will always remember your generous, genuine smile whenever I think of you.
Sending so much love to you all and especially to Robbie and to my cousins, Sandy, Douglas and Helen
from Holly
and Stuart, James & Scott and all the Campbells.
Dear dear Steph- I’m in the bush and was devastated to hear of the sudden loss of you, our lovely friend and dearest neighbour. I was just chatting to you last week- and it feels like you are yet still poised to make a few pithy comments on the situation, accompanied by your quirky smile …!! Dear Rob, for you, for your family and for our friends who loved Steph dearly -for us all indeed who loved her wonderful warm and crazy ways, my sad condolences and loving thoughts to you all.
It’s extraordinary to think you’ve gone. I see families like trees, I suppose, and have always seen us cousins all on the same branch level. Your branch coming away so suddenly is shocking for all of us. A loss of this magnitude affects the entire tree, root to tip. You were a supporting beam, if you like, structurally critical!
You’re off to join Dad, Uncle Lyn, Gran, Aunty Ros, Grandpa, and so many others, and whilst the thought brings a warm smile to my face, these losses to our family feel terrible and are all heart-breaking.
Dad loved you very much, as we all do. Last week, I sat with Cynthia, John, Neil, Clive, Leanne, Carly, Lucas, Jared and Finn to watch the cremation. I am sure I speak for all of us here in Australia when I say we love you and will miss you so, so much. Jack and Ella, too.
I have nothing but fond and unique memories. I even remember going to your wedding at Meikles! I’ve looked up to you, Sandy, Douglas and Helen as the characters and energetic souls I strive to be. My love goes to all of them, and especially to Rob … Robbie, you’re a wonderful, wonderful human, and we’re lucky to have our family tree branches overlap yours. Long may it last.
RIP, Stephie. I hope you’re surrounded by gorgeous terriers and they’re all getting a delectable treat from you.
Dear Rob my condolences will always remember the fun times we had in Switzerland and Zimbabwe with you and Steph who always had a smile on her.it always was a pleasure seeing that fun and smiley face.
Our families such good friends for so many years. You all had such fun sometimes I had 7 children for the night and other times you all went to your house. So many memories through good and sad times. We will miss you dear Steph even though we are miles away. We send Rob, Sandy, Douglas and Helen our love to you all John and Di. So pleased that Michael can be with you at this sad time.
Oh how we are going to miss you Steph our dearest friend and neighbour. Thank you so much for the 22 years of your friendship and love that will remain with us forever. Rob, what can we say but that we are thinking of you at this saddest of times. All our love the Cooks. x x x
My love and thoughts are with everyone whose lives Steph touched in so many ways..
Such a beautiful, kind, and generous soul will be so missed by so many.
I will cherish the very happymemories of our wonderful houseboat trip always!
Being one of the babies of the family and growing up away from you and Stephanie I have watched from afar as your projects and plans developed and you two created a life of love and laughter. I was fortunate enough to spend two months with you in what feels like a lifetime ago and I saw just how much the two of you shaped your relationship together.
Words cannot express how deeply sad we all are and how much we extend our heartfelt condolences and love to you.
To my dear cousin, farewell. I still have my sheep that you gave me for my birthday more than 20 years ago, it has followed me everywhere and I’m not “shearing” it with any one. You have no idea how much of an impact you have had on our family.
As I sit with my mum, Stephanie’s Aunty Cynka, we send all our love to you and our extended family.

We are so devastated you’ve left us so suddenly Steph. The warmest and most generous human being. The most wonderful friend and bridge-buddy to my Mom – I’ll always be grateful.
I’ll forever remember your dinner parties – overflowing with Graham Beck bubbles and Ottolenghi. GnTs strong enough to sedate a rhino! Our shared love for animals. I know you’ll drop in now and then to check in on me and the dogs to let us know you’re okay up there. I’ll miss you terribly. We all will xx
Steph, we will all miss you so much. What a special person and cousin to us. Thinking of you Rob, Doug, Sandie and Helen. Watching the service in NZ, love Neil
So wonderful to have known you and to reconnect with you again last year – I wished we’d had more time to get to know each other, but I am glad for the time we had. Your kindness and positivity I will always remember.
Dear Rob, Steph was an exceptional person as you are. My sincere thanks for what you both did for my Mum and for your fantastic support. You both were both so suited to each and you shared many precious years together. My very deepest condolences again. May she rest in peace and until you meet again. May God Bless you comfort you during this time.

Dear Steph, what a privilege it was to have shared, albeit very sporadically, such special times with you and Robbie over the last number of years and what a hole your passing will leave. We’re especially grateful that we were able to reconnect with you during our visit to Harare last month but are devastated in our realisation that you’ll not be there for future visits to Zim.
Sincere condolences to the Watson and Rogers families at this most difficult time – Rob, we continue to hold you closely in our thoughts as you work through your shattering loss.

I am so glad to have played a part in you becoming “sophisticated, regal and glamorous “ as mentioned by Douglas in your eulogy.
