Dear Aunty Lyn
Wishing you, Katy, Nathan, Leandri and kids our sincere condolences. Love to you all at this sad time. Love Justine, Steven, Molly and Henry xxxx
Dear Lyn, Nathan, Leandri and sweet granddaughters, Kayt and precious grandson, we cannot express the sadness we all feel at this time. John was a ‘yes’ person to us. Whenever we had problems whether it was farm invasions or paying Zimbabwe bills for us he was always in the forefront. We could rely on John to sort out any issues we had. He was so hospitable when we stayed with Lyn and John in Harare. He spoke enthusiasticly about farming and loved showing us the practical side of his nature with all the clever ideas he came up with to improve his home and castle. He loved his family fiercely and all of his furry friends too. We remember so many good times with John around his bar. His sense of humour was wicked! Loved it. Thinking of you all at this time. Lots of love Theunis, Joy and Kara xxx
Dear Lyn, Nathan and Katy and families we are thinking of you in this difficult time. May you find comfort in the memories you have of John. Lochner Family from Perth

What wonderful words were spoken about John. It was very special to share in this memorial and to reflect on a life well lived and loved. Sending our love to you Lyn, Nathan, Katie and all the family.
It was a beautiful service and really appreciated it. I know my dad would have loved it.
Thank you Simon for reading out our letters.
Thank you to everyone who took the time and will take the time to watch it.
Thank you to all the lovely and thoughtful comments.
What a lovely service it was a very special send off for dad, I know he would have loved it. Thank you all for taking the time to watch it. Thank you for all the lovely comments and love to you all xx
We are grateful to have been part of the memorial for John (‘J’ (Jay), or ‘JW’ to his father and big sister) by watching this video. We are especially thankful for his friend at the end of the film – that deep, heartfelt sigh said it all. We echoed your genuine and sincere sigh as an unintentional evocation to Antigone, ensuring the Elysian playing field beloved of Public Schools are now level. Thank you, friend.
John, you realised your childhood dream of possessing your own farm; you continued the Huggett tradition of a drink in one hand, a witty and entertaining repartee in the other and happy laughter all around. JW you did good in a life well lived.
You died in your best loved home in the luscious greenery and warmth of your beloved Zimbabwe. Your ashes will be scattered across the waters that gave you and Lyn, and your Australian family such comfort in your last year. You will continue to live in our memories of sunshine and childish laughter in a cottage in a little-known country lane in Sussex in England. Your English family will miss you and remember you: goodbye little brother, brother-in-law, uncle and great-uncle. Liz, Martin, Charley, Jon, Cecily and Jenson xxxxxx (one from each!)
Dear Lyn
Sending you and your family our deepest condolences and best wishes.
