Dear all,
I am sitting here in my home in Warwickshire watching all the beautiful speeches and shared memories of dear Joan. My heart feels full of love for the funny, cheeky and unique woman that she was. I feel blessed to have known her and grateful for all the times I stayed in her home, and all the moments I spent with her.
I’m sending you all my love, care and blessings for this time, and for all the days to come as you grieve the loss of this very special person in your lives.
A big hug to you, I’m holding you in my heart and prayers, and remembering dear Joan always.

Even though I only had the chance to meet Joan once, her warmth, kindness, and cheeky spirit made me feel immediately at home in her own home. Her ability to make me feel welcome and a part of her family through her texts and calls is something I will always be grateful for and I promise I shall continue to force her grandchildren to pose for pictures!! I shall cherish the memories of our weekend in Imire and the ‘frank chat’ at the coffee place. As you guys say in Zimb: ‘shame’ I couldn’t be there in person but I am thankful I could attend this heartfelt memorial to celebrate the life of Joan online. Rest in peace, Joan, and a big hug to all.
