To the Revolta family
Was so sorry to hear of the passing of the legend who was Mrs Revolta. Through her love of teaching English imparted to me I now teach.
**A Tribute to My High School English Teacher**
Today, I reflect on the life and legacy of an extraordinary teacher who left an indelible mark on my journey. Though I had a natural disliking for English, your passion, dedication, and unique approach to teaching did something truly special – you made me start enjoying the class.
You taught me to appreciate English not as a rigid syllabus but as a beautiful way to connect with stories, ideas, and the human experience. Your immense feel for the subject and the way you conducted the class made it impossible not to be captivated. You showed us that curiosity and an open mind were key to understanding the world.
Because of you, I strive to question, explore, and find meaning in the world around me.
Thank you, Ma’am, for your support, your belief, and the countless lives you touched through your teaching.
You will always be remembered with gratitude and affection.
Rest in peace, Ma’am. Your light continues to shine through those you inspired.
My sincere condolences to family, friends and school community for the loss of Di.
We thank her for the loyalty & dedication to the school and profession thereby touching the lives of may families scattered around the world.
May the loving God comfort all as they navigate the dark cloud.
Sleep well Di 🕊.
Of all my teachers, Mrs Revolta had the biggest impact. With an incredible wit and that often humorous twinkle of her eye she made learning Chaucer and Shakespeare interesting, real and relevant to us then teenagers.
I loved being part of her drama group and we did some unforgettable plays together laughing and loving the theatrical antics all the way.
She was a huge asset to the education system of Zimbabwe , I was surprised to learn my mother in law who is twenty years my senior was also taught by Mrs Revolta and she too holds her in the highest regard! Such is the massive influence she had on so many of us.
Mrs Revolta you will be sorely missed by us all and I send my deepest condolences to Keir and Lance and the Revolta family.
Mrs Revolta taught English Literature like noone could. I gained an understanding of Chaucer that I never fathomed I would.
She was on her own level. She was witty yet equally strict. They don’t make them like you anymore Mrs Revolta.
Rest in perfect peace Mam and thank you for the teachings.
Sincere condolences to Keir and family
Mrs Revolta – an incredible teacher – I am grateful for your patience with me as well as your positive input throughout my years at Eaglesvale.
I can still hear you say “There are so many options in the English language rather than the word ‘got’”
Rest in Peace Mrs Revolta.
Condolences to Keir and Lance and their families on this occasion but I am sure they will retain the most wonderful memories of their mother who was a revered teacher and a great friend. We wish you all blessings and much love,
Tom and Pat Borland

Thanks to David Wakefield and Keir and Lance for such a beautiful memorial to Di – a fitting closure to a life most excellently lived. Best wishes to all.
Such a lovely service – thank you Mr. Wakefield, Lance and Keir
Lance and Keir – Your Mum would be so proud!
Dearest Keir, Lance, family and everyone who is feeling sad right now – we are with you. That was a heartfelt service to a very special lady. We have cried with you, all the way over here in beautiful Cornwall on the South West coast of England.
Bless dearest Mrs. Revolta who taught us so much and who continues to influence our lives as educators and guardians of humanity and the earth. We speak of her often! I had the honour of teaching with her at Eaglesvale during my early years in education. We truly had the highest standard of learning available in Zimbabwe at that time.
Our hearts are sore for you but oh so grateful. Demure, formidable, passionate, gracious, determined, witty and gorgeous she was.
Go well, special lady. We love you and we give thanks for your life and timeless influence.
Joshua Warren, Lee-Ann Taylor, Barbara Arnott, Ben Arnott and our whole family send massive hugs to you.
Di Revolta was the most incredible teacher. I loved and respected her for her strictness and I did well because she didn’t put up with anyone’s nonsense. I was at MGHS 1965-68. I will never forget her amazingly good teaching.
