Thank you for many truly memorable times together .. from army days, Cape Town trips and the bush you knew so well and loved so much. Your kindness, your humour and your bravery always shone through. You are missed already. Thank you too Carolyn.. for making much of this possible.

Our Dad Sandy Robertson welcomed Buster and all his accompanying farm katunda to his Vumba property in December 2005, just after he had been chucked off the Chipinge farms.
Buzz helped Sandy and Joan in so many ways, all the while being upbeat, helpful, kind, humorous (and OK a little eccentric), despite the trauma he had suffered. He had a spirit that could bend but not break.
When our Dad died in 2007, Buster looked after that property as if it was his own. Being so far away it was reassuring to have such reliable people watching over it – we owe him and Carolyn a great deal.
We were all so sad to learn of his passing. May his dear soul rest in peace.
Condolences to all the family from Cheryl, Rob, Netta & Mick in UAE & UK.

Buster. You are already sorely missed my old friend. Your indomitable sense of humour, your skills at dancing that the best Matebele dancing instructor would envy and your strengths through differcult times like the land grabs, were an example to all that knew you. Nothing could dent your unbounding optimism regardless of what Africa threw at you.

Rest in Peace and you will never be forgotten.

Enjoy your wake, Buzz! Appropriate venue 😬

Loved having you as our wildly fun neighbour all those year ago – and the horse riding escapades we went on! There’ll never be anyone quite like you and you’ll be missed!

Just gratful for the opportunity to view this celebration of the late Buster’s lifeon line. I am watching the next day as the live stream started at 2 am, Auckland time the next day.

I knew Buster well in my 14 years in Chipinge. He was always crazy but in the kindest and most loveable way.

My personal Buster story was when he turned up at my house in Chipinge town, in the middle of night (I was a bachelor until 10 years ago, long after this), with all his clothing wrapped up in a duvet, having had a tiff with Caroline. No worries, he went back to the farm, with his duvet and clothes, the next day after breakfast..

As we used to say in Chipinge a great tree (and indeed a unique one) has fallen.

I have been trying to submit fro m New Zealand, where I am viewing the recording on You Tube due the time difference from Auckland.
During my 14 years in Chipinge, I am proud to have been able to call him a friend, with all his crazy but very caring ways. My Buster story, is when he trned up at my house in Chipinge town inthe middle of the night ( I was a confirmed bachelor until only 10 years ago) with his clothes all wrapped up in a duvet having had a tiff with Caroline. No worries, he headed back to the farm duvet and all adter breakfast. As the Chipinge saying goes, a great tree (and unique tree has fallen.
Really good to see you Dave Vercuil as wel, another very good and very crazy friend.
